Japan’s Trash Could Reach Hawaii
The trash from the deadly tsunami that hit Japan earlier last month may reach the shores of Hawaii within the next year scientists say. The damage will travel up something called the pacific gyre, which is like an extremely large whirpool in the Pacific Ocean, then it will end up in a seamless abyss of other trash known as ‘Garbage Island.’ If that doesn’t sound fantastically awesome you’re an idiot because it is. In fact, from here on out, any excuse I have to talk about Garbage Island will be taken full advantage of. If I could broadcast from there I would. I’m wondering if I perched stake on this garbage pit that is supposedly twice the size of Texas that I could make it my country. Ah hell, like Texas, with all that garbage the Mexicans would probably still occupy it without me asking them to.
